As we approach the end of 2024, it’s time to reflect on an incredible year full of milestones, achievements, and memorable moments for Innovarum. From impactful campaigns to exciting project launches and closures, here’s a recap of our journey throughout the year:
January: Starting the Year in Portugal
We kicked off the year with strength by hosting the OLEAF4VALUE Stakeholder Meeting and General Assembly in Bragança, Portugal. This event brought together key partners to discuss progress and prepare for the project’s final phase.
February: First Steps for OrganicClimateNet
February marked the official start of OrganicClimateNet, with its inaugural partner meeting in Fulda, Germany. This exciting project aims to create a collaborative network for organic farming and climate solutions.
March: Campaigns in Full Swing
March was a particularly busy month as we prepared and launched various communication campaigns. Notably, SISTERS’ “Stop Food Waste” campaign stood out, raising awareness about reducing food losses and waste across Europe.
April: Celebrating a Decade of Innovation
This month was particularly special as Innovarum celebrated its 10th anniversary. We organized a joyful party to commemorate a decade of dedication, growth, and success. Additionally, part of our team traveled to the in-person General Assembly of the LIKE-A-PRO project in Wuppertal, Germany, where the consortium gathered to discuss project progress.
May: Growing and Raising Awareness
In May, MainstreamBIO took the spotlight with awareness-raising events at Expobiomasa and Valderrobres, connecting with diverse stakeholders and showcasing the project’s impact. We also celebrated a significant milestone: two new colleagues joined our team, bringing us to a total of 14 members—a true point of pride!
June: A Farewell to OLEAF4VALUE
We concluded the OLEAF4VALUE project with a final event, celebrating its journey and the innovative solutions developed along the way.
July and August: Planning the Future
Summer offered us the chance to pause and focus on planning the extraordinary initiatives awaiting us in the second half of the year. Additionally, the entire team enjoyed a visit to Chinchón, where we participated in a wine tasting and savored delicious local cuisine to welcome the summer.
September: Closing BIOSCHAMP and Roots to Market Success
In September, we celebrated the closure of the BIOSCHAMP project with its final event. Meanwhile, SISTERS’ #RootsToMarket campaign was a resounding success, connecting farmers with sustainable market opportunities.
October: New Beginnings with Sustain-a-bite
The Sustain-a-bite project launched this month, bringing renewed energy and ambition to our portfolio. Additionally, the team participated in the SISTERS General Assembly in Brussels and the CHEERS meeting in Nigrán, strengthening collaboration between projects. Innovarum also presented SISTERS’ innovations during two workshops organized under the framework of Fruit Attraction, highlighting our commitment to sustainability and innovation.
November: A Month of Dynamic Events
November was packed with activity, including the Sustain-a-bite kick-off meeting in Finland and the MainstreamBIO General Assembly in Madrid. We also co-organized the Regional Scale-Up Workshop in Zaragoza and the Mutual Exchange Cross-Learning Event in Madrid, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange.
December: Celebrating the Year Together
We wrapped up the year on a festive note, celebrating the holiday season with our team and expressing gratitude for an extraordinary 2024. With great anticipation, we look forward to an even more remarkable 2025.
