The Pro-Enrich project is an initiative of 16 partners from 7 different countries across Europe, coordinated by the Danish Technological Institute. The consortium represents the entire process chain: suppliers, technical experts and end-users.

The demand for protein and other bioactive compounds can no longer be met through conventional, mainly animal, sources. In addition, the manufacture of these compounds has significant environmental impacts.

In this situation, Pro-Enrich aims to produce a range of proteins and bioactive compounds from side streams of rapeseed, olives citrus and tomatoes, suitable for applications in food, pet food, adhesives and cosmetics.

Through innovative biorefinery processing, the Pro-Enrich project will obtain high-value components, using separation and filtration processes.

Innovarum is proud to be part of this project and we will be offering our support in dissemination and communication activities.

Pro-Enrich has been granted funding under the H2020-BBI-JTI-2017 call that ended on September 7^th, 2017. The project started on the 1^st of May 2018, and it will have a duration of 3 years.
