EU Green Week is an annual opportunity to debate European environmental policy with policymakers, leading environmentalists and stakeholders from Europe and beyond. This year’s edition focuses on the European Green Deal – the EU’s sustainable and transformative growth strategy for a resource-efficient and climate-neutral Europe by 2050.

Systemic innovations & sustainable practices across the #agrifood value chain

The event brought together a selection of EU Projects (H2020) which specialise in #systemicinnovations & #sustainablepractices to tackle specific challenges across the chain.
SISTERS, together with COOPID, MANDALA and agroBRIDGES take a closer look at the different linkages of the #agrifood value chain while addressing the importance of food security and a sustainable food system.
The VALUEWASTE pilot experience in Kalundborg: a guided online visit

On the 31 of May 2022, the VALUEWASTE project organised an exchange trip with Spanish representatives from the project and local policymakers to visit the pilot experience of selective collection of urban biowaste the project is developing in Kalundborg, Denmark.
You can now take part in key parts of the visit through a live streaming programme where we will visit places like Kalundborg Symbiosis or the facilities of UNIBIO.

The LOOPs webinar series are online events committed to spotlighting innovation in the field of circular economy and sustainability. For the EU Green Week of 2022, the LOOPs webinars took part as #EUpartnerevents, bringing together two incredible EU projects.
How exactly? BIOSCHAMP and SUSFERT – two Horizon 2020 projects focused on the field of biostimulants and sustainable fertilizers – took a closer look at the EU Soil Strategy in an engaging dialogue.
Biorefine Conference ‘The role of biorefineries in European agriculture’

Projects like OLEAF4VALUE or VALUEWASTE took part in the #EUGreenWeek in person event organised by Biorefine Cluster Europe in Ghent, Brussels.
The Conference is aimed at highlighting the current research innovations in the six main Biorefine’s domains related to sustainable resource management in the framework of circular economy systems. Nutrient recycling and recovery, renewable energy, water recovery and use, biomaterials & eco-design, biochemicals and value chain assessment will be at the core of our discussion, focused on recent developments and concrete solutions to make the transition to circular economy work in practice. -Biorefine Cluster Europe
